The Graduate School Students
TGS works with the Student Health Insurance office and the Office of Risk Management to provide health insurance to TGS students. TGS lobbies on behalf of the graduate student population, and participates on a Student Health Insurance Policy Committee, but final decisions regarding University health insurance policy and requirements, and NU-SHIP plan design, are not made by TGS. TGS often subsidizes the cost of the premiums for the NU-SHIP. Please visit , or , for more information regarding your subsidy.
- ÌÇÐÄlogo¹ÙÍø requires all students to maintain comprehensive health insurance coverage while registered at the University.
- During the time TGS students are registered at ÌÇÐÄlogo¹ÙÍø, you will be enrolled each year in the ÌÇÐÄlogo¹ÙÍø Student Health Insurance Plan (NU-SHIP).
- You may waive NU-SHIP enrollment by affirming that you have alternate, active health insurance that meets ÌÇÐÄlogo¹ÙÍø's comparable coverage requirements.
Please note: per ÌÇÐÄlogo¹ÙÍø policy, international students (students holding an F-1 or J-1 U.S. Visa) may not waive the NU-SHIP.
Students registered for TGS 512 are also enrolled in the NU-SHIP annually, and must waive NU-SHIP enrollment in with comparable coverage during the open enrollment period. If a waiver is not submitted during this applicable open enrollment period you will be held financially responsible for the premium cost.
